We are looking for a passionate and experienced Cafe Manager with exceptional coffee, training and service skills to join our Islington team.

As Manager, you will oversee and take responsibility for the 19 Prebend Street bakery. You will have full ownership and accountability, ensuring it is running efficiently, profitably, and delivering food, drink and customer service to the excellent standard and quality as expected by the company. You will be a hands-on Manager leading from the front, positively impacting shifts and always reflecting the Pophams ethos and culture.

The role will involve: • Overseeing the day-to-day operation and running of the site • Ensuring the customer experience is always exceeded beyond the Pophams expectations • Ensuring optimum food and drink quality are always reached • Driving sales and profitability • Overseeing recruitment and training • Nurturing and developing staff and highlighting future stars • Writing rotas, approving timesheets and holidays • Conducting bi-annual reviews and end of probation meets • Stock control. Placing and receiving orders using our stock system. Ensuring stock counts are completed accurately, with transfers and wastage recorded and sent correctly • Resolving maintenance issues, ensuring the site and equipment within it are used with care, keeping breakages and repairs to a minimum • Ensuring site is compliant with all food, health and safety regulations and company procedures • Working with Pophams Home team at 21 Prebend to ensure harmonious working across the two sites where they crossover

Expectations: • Create and manage own workload proactively and effectively • Be organised, and solution-focused (not problem-led) • Working week to include at least one full admin shift • Communicate in a constructive and friendly manner with all team members and management • Establish and maintain positive working relationships across departments • Represent the Company positively internally and externally • Have a true understanding of the Pophams ethos • Aim to increase productivity and profitability directly • Be flexible in work patterns • Support the Senior Management team with any reasonable requests that may fall outside of normal working role
