Hello Aspiring Coffee Senseis. 👋

We are looking for someone to join our team as the primary lead and support on ensuring our coffee, food and customer experience standards are on point, and that our team members are upskilled, coached, and inspired on a daily basis.

** Profile: You are an upbeat and positive individual who possesses a solid knowledge in specialty coffee, exceptional customer service and communication skills, a good understanding of in-shop deployment and bar flow, and a passion toward coaching others toward growth regardless of their skill-level.**

Create Impact

  • Develop and maintain extensive knowledge of our products and teach and guide fellow team-members on how to be able to communicate those products to our guests in an approachable manner.
  • Lead by example by modelling professionalism through anticipating customer needs and tailoring our service to them and encourage team members to always act as a host to our guests with the aim to provide an experience that is memorable.
  • Model the highest standard of attention to detail whilst on shift, inspiring others toward a consistent creation of high-quality food and beverage which adhere to company recipe and presentation specifications.
  • Work collaboratively with the roastery and senior management team on new recipe development, as well as in shop recipe improvements, and be prepared to roll out and implement any new procedures or products in an efficient and effective manner, guiding team members toward recommended best practices.
  • Deliver off-site core trainings, focussing on aligning, inspiring, and guiding the team members toward company ethos and standards.
  • Work with COO and core team to assess what gaps exist within the team which affect efficiency, quality, and the customer experience, and bring forward ideas to help close those gaps.

Set others up for success

  • Work closely with baristas and team members across the estate, evaluating their needs and providing in-shop guidance and training on bar flow, coffee knowledge, and customer service.
  • Act as a gatekeeper, ensuring our guests receive a high level of quality and consistency in our product and service, and provide team-members with constructive feedback, coaching them toward success.
  • Work with site leads and operations teams to evaluate in-store deployment of team-members alongside delegation of tasks and find ways to improve said procedures to achieve maximum efficiency whilst maintaining an exceptional guest experience.
  • Set others up for success through effective equipment management, ensuring all team members understand how to maintain equipment and general barista kit, and identifying any maintenance issues, general equipment, or training needs.
  • Provide a welcoming experience for new team members, ensuring you have scheduled yourself to work beside them on bar during their first shifts within the business, and provide supportive direction so that they are set up for success.
  • Track all members within the team, assessing where they are at and what they need to be able to progress to the next tier, and encourage, coach, and support them toward their goals.
  • Observe, coach and guide site-leads and managers so that they are able to confidently inspire their team, periodically working on shift alongside them to further coach and upskill the team.

Grow with us

  • Cultivate a positive and proactive culture, where goals are achieved through communication and teamwork, and enable others to grow with you.
  • Conduct audits to identify areas of opportunity across the team, alongside successes, and work with cluster managers to maintain successes as well as find solutions that ensure continual improvement across the estate, from product to customer experience.
  • Continue to develop your own knowledge and skill set, always aiming for self-improvement and growth, and act as a resource to others, skill sharing your learnings

Pay 30-33k depending on role and experience, with a generous bonus opportunity! In addition, we offer ongoing training, including our management leadership program to help you develop your managerial skills, alongside discounts, on-shift meals, and company social events!

While we are looking for individuals with both specialty coffee and training experience, we are happy to consider and develop applicants who possess a growth mindset. When applying, please be sure to submit a cover letter.
