The Head of People and Culture is more than just an HR role; it’s about building and nurturing a team that embodies Kickback Coffee’s adventurous spirit. Key Responsibilities:
People First: Be the champion of our team culture, ensuring everyone feels valued, supported, and connected to the brand. HR Operations: Oversee all HR functions, including recruitment, contracts, employee relations, and compliance. Scheduling and Holidays: Create and manage rotas and holiday schedules, ensuring fair and efficient coverage across all sites. Onboarding and Training: Design and deliver world-class onboarding programs and continuous training initiatives to support team development. Recruitment: Lead the hiring process to attract and retain top talent who align with our brand values. Support Across Sites: Travel regularly to ensure a visible and consistent presence across our Roastery, shops, and bakery. Problem Solver: Address team challenges and conflicts with empathy, professionalism, and a positive attitude. Communication: Keep the team informed and engaged through regular updates and initiatives that reinforce our values and vision.
What We’re Looking For:
A genuine people person who thrives on building relationships and creating a positive environment. A proven track record in HR, people management, or a similar role, ideally in hospitality, retail, or an adventurous industry. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. A proactive problem-solver who can think creatively and act decisively. Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with everyone from baristas to directors. A willingness to travel between sites and be a visible presence within the team. Most importantly, someone who radiates positivity…if you can’t smile, this isn’t the role for you.
