The De Beauvoir Deli Co is widely regarded as one of London’s top delicatessens. Alongside fine food retail, we incorporate quick-service takeaway, a table-service café and catering delivery, in the heart of a dynamic, community-minded neighbourhood. A London Living Wage employer, we have around 40 staff across the shop, café, kitchens and office and are looking for an Assistant GM to support and deputise for our General Manager.
Key responsibilities of the role include
General
The day-to-day management of the shop
Supporting the General Manager with administrative responsibilities
Support with effective stock and staff planning
Team Management
Support with recruitment and training of teams
Support with scheduling
What we require:
Conscientious with excellent attention to detail
Well organised and clear thinking with an ability to prioritise and manage workload
Good problem solver, particularly with arising facilities issues
Ability to remain calm and keep team focused under pressure
Good at multi-tasking
Strong leader with excellent communication skills
Empathetic and considerate towards customers and team
Good understanding of current market trends
Broad knowledge of international foods, (especially cheese & deli products) and wines
General awareness of London independent retail sector and key players
Relaxed and friendly demeanour with a positive outlook
Professional Experience
Minimum 2 years fine food management in a similar operation
